Children who are homeless, in temporary housing, doubled up
with family or friends, or who move repeatedly are at increased risk of having
developmental problems and learning difficulties. OCD is working with several
partners to enhance services and improve public policy to meet the needs of
these children and families. Our partners currently include The Education Law
Center, the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, the Homeless Children’s Education
Fund, Allegheny County Department of Human Services and The Heinz Endowments.
