Through teaching and training, evaluating programs, and
applying research to practice, the Evaluation and Research Team aims
to improve the capacity of our non-profit and governmental partners to serve
children and families. Our team helps partners develop sensible and feasible
evaluation plans, integrate research evidence into practice in a pragmatic
manner, and identify impact opportunities where the social needs, research
knowledge, and organizational missions converge. Our interdisciplinary
team is comprised of experienced professionals, with expertise in
developmental, educational, social, and community psychology; program
evaluation; business management; social work; teaching and instruction; and
statistics. We collaborate with partners across practitioner, policy, and
research arenas. Our current portfolio of projects pertains to youth
development, out of school time, family support, juvenile justice interventions,
and communication methods and issues relating to the children’s agenda.
