Allegheny County Family Support
For more than 20 years, Family Support Centers have helped Allegheny County’s children achieve brighter futures (see the panel on the right for a list of core services). Annually, close to 6000 children and their families are enrolled in one of 25 neighborhood-based centers
located across the county.

We invite you to meet two parents whose families have been strengthened by their participation in Family Support services:

Evidence-based Home Visiting:
Through Family Support, families with children under the age of 6 have the opportunity to participate in Parents as Teachers – an evidence-based home visiting program recognized by the federal government. As one aspect of this service, Family Development Specialists partner with parents to offer developmental screenings and referrals to early intervention services. To learn more, please click here.
