Quality Improvement Initiative (Qii)

The Quality Improvement Initiative (Qii) was developed to improve the quality of interventions for juvenile offenders in Pennsylvania. The Qii helps providers assess the quality of their interventions and make improvements by applying principles of effective programming and adopting best practices. DARE and the National Center for Juvenile Justice collaborated from 2008 through 2010 to develop this quality improvement system with support from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency and the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. Although DARE’s involvement in the project ended in 2010, the National Center for Juvenile Justice continues the work through Qii to help providers make very basic, concrete improvements in the interventions they deliver.
